Shannon Kern, 51, of Akron, was arrested for DWI and aggravated DWI following a welfare check at 3939 Route 98 in the Town of Sheldon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kern was allegedly found passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle while parked on private property in the front yard of 3939 Route 98, approximately 1300 feet off the roadway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The homeowner located the vehicle and called 911 for assistance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
North Java Ambulance and the Wyoming County Sheriff\u2019s Office were dispatched to check on Kern’s welfare. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to deputies, Kern performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was charged with DWI and aggravated DWI\/driving with a BAC of .18% or more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is scheduled to appear in Sheldon Court at a later date in August. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kern was processed at the Wyoming County Sheriff\u2019s Office and released to a family member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matthew L. Mercado, 37, of Buffalo was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation following a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Sheldon on August 1, 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mercado was observed operating a vehicle with three active revocations on his license. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd and 3rd degree and was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Sheldon Court for a later date. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
