{"id":18725,"date":"2020-08-07T14:05:09","date_gmt":"2020-08-07T18:05:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/?p=18725"},"modified":"2020-08-07T14:05:09","modified_gmt":"2020-08-07T18:05:09","slug":"genesee-county-gcedc-board-accepts-application-for-community-solar-array-in-the-town-of-batavia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/index.php\/2020\/08\/07\/genesee-county-gcedc-board-accepts-application-for-community-solar-array-in-the-town-of-batavia\/","title":{"rendered":"GENESEE COUNTY\/GCEDC Board accepts application for community solar array in the Town of Batavia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Press release<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Batavia Solar, LLC to build 1.65 MW solar array in the town of Batavia<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BATAVIA, NY \u2013 The Genesee County Economic Development Center (GCEDC) board of directors accepted an application from Batavia Solar, LLC which is proposing to invest approximately $3.5 million to build a 1.65 MW community solar farm in the town of Batavia at its August 6, 2020 board meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As with all previously approved community solar projects, Batavia Solar, LLC is proposing to contribute payments of $5,500 per MW at a 2% annual escalator over 15 years if the GCEDC approves the incentives being sought by the company. The company would also contribute to a workforce development and local economic development programming fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the proposed addition of Batavia Solar, LLC to 30 megawatts of previously approved community solar projects, municipalities in Genesee County would now be projected to generate revenues of over $3 million over 15 years, with nearly $2 million of those revenues going to school districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Batavia Solar, LLC is seeking approximately $500,000 in sales, mortgage and property taxes.
