The work included rebuilding of the carriage with all new metalwork and refurbishing the cannon barrels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each cannon weighs about 2200lbs, and with the help of donations to the Holland Land Office Museum Cannon Restoration Fund, the project has now been completed with about $7,600 being raised out of the $10,000 goal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cannons were welcomed home in style with the help of a gunnery crew from the Genesee County Militia reenactor group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If anyone would like to donate to the Cannon Restoration Fund they still can.
