Taskinen, 35, of Arcade, was arrested following a traffic stop on Curriers Road in the Town of Java on September 4, 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taskinen was the driver of a vehicle stopped for multiple traffic infractions, and during the course of roadside investigation, Taskinen was found in possession of concentrated cannabis, marijuana, and smoking paraphernalia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taskinen failed roadside field sobriety testing and was taken into custody for driving while ability impaired. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was taken to the Wyoming County Sheriff\u2019s Office where a drug recognition expert determined Taskinen was impaired by drugs and unable to operate a vehicle safely. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taskinen is charged with DWAI\/drugs, criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, unlawful possession of marijuana 2nd, failure to keep right, and driver\u2019s view obstructed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taskinen was issued an appearance ticket and scheduled to appear in the Town of Java Court on September 16, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Craig S. Ewert, 58, of Bennington, was arrested following a traffic stop on Curriers Road in the Town of Java on September 4, 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ewert was the driver of a vehicle stopped for speeding, and was found to be operating with no driver\u2019s license. Ewert had a NYS identification card which had been revoked since 2008 for DWI related revocations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ewert failed roadside field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for DWI. Ewert then refused to submit to a chemical test. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is charged with one felony, aggravated unlicensed operation 1st, along with DWI and speeding in a zone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ewert was arraigned in the Town of Warsaw Court where his license was additionally suspended pending a refusal hearing. Ewert was then released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to return to Wyoming County Court on October 15, 2020 for further proceedings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Glen L.
