Michael S. Tomaszewski, 48, of Edgewood Drive, Batavia, is charged with seven counts of grand larceny 3rd, a class D felony, grand larceny 4th, a class E felony, three counts of petit larceny and four counts of failing to deposit monies, as a result of the continuing investigation into monies paid to him for prepaid funerals and grave markers which were not used for their intended purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new charges stem from eleven victims who came forward and were identified following Tomaszewski’s initial arrest on July 23, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was arraigned virtually today by Judge Zambito and released on his own recognizance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The case continues to be investigated by Investigator Chris Parker and the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
