Matthew M. Maniace, 38, of Fargo Rd., Bethany, is charged with DWI\/drugs, prior conviction within 10 years, criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, obstruction of governmental administration 2nd and moving from a lane unsafely, after a one vehicle accident on Prole road extension in Stafford on September 8, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following an investigation and toxicology results, Maniace allegedly was operating a motor vehicle while allegedly impaired by drugs, resulting in the accident. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maniace also was allegedly in possession of drugs at the time of the accident and attempted to flee from the responding deputies on foot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He will appear in Stafford Town Court on December 15, 2020 at 9:00a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On December 2, 2020, Maniace was also charged with petit larceny after he allegedly agreed to repair parts of a victim’s truck on November 4, 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
While he was in possession of the truck, he took the keys and a tow hitch from the truck and never returned the items to the victim. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Bethany Town Court on December 22, 2020 at 7:00p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
