The extra point was good.<\/p>\n<p>The Blue Devils responded in the second quarter with a Ray Leach scamper to the end zone to make it 6-7, but the extra point was no good.<\/p>\n<p>On the kickoff, T.J. Jones returned the ball 91 yards, breaking tackles and plowing through the Batavia defense to make the score 13-6, the extra point was good.<\/p>\n<p>Shane Noble Jr. added a touchdown towards the end of the second quarter and Aquinas held a 21-6 lead at the half.<\/p>\n<p>In the third, Caron Robinson added a touchdown with 5:49 left in the quarter and Batavia could not find answers to the Aquinas game.<\/p>\n<p>After the 91 yard return, Batavia was not able to keep up with Li&#8217;l Irish who went on to win the game 42-6 in their first win of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Batavia, now 1-1, will travel to Tonawanda next Saturday and play Cardinal O&#8217;Hara.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Batavia Blue Devils lost their first game in three seasons at the hands of Aquinas on Saturday night.
