o Genesee County<\/strong> received 13 new positive cases of COVID-19 for a total of 3999 positive cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 The new positive cases reside in the:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7 West Region (Alabama, Darien, Pembroke)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7 Central Region (Alexander, Batavia, Bethany, Elba, Oakfield)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7 East Region (Bergen, Byron, LeRoy, Pavilion, Stafford)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 The individuals are in their 0-19\u2019s, 20\u2019s, 40\u2019s, 50\u2019s, 60\u2019s, 70\u2019s and 80\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 19 of the previous positive individuals have recovered and have been removed from the isolation list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 15 of the current positive individuals are hospitalized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 We are very sad to report the COVID-related death of three of our county residents. All of the individuals were over the age of 65. We do not provide any further information to protect the privacy of the individuals and their families. Our deepest condolences to the families and friends during this very difficult time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o Orleans County<\/strong> received 10 new positive cases of COVID-19 for a total of 2304 positive cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 The positive cases reside in the:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7 West Region (Yates, Ridgeway, Shelby)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7 Central Region (Carlton, Gaines, Albion, Barre) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7 East Region (Kendall, Murray, Clarendon) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 The individuals are in their 0-19\u2019s, 30\u2019s, 40\u2019s, 60\u2019s, 80\u2019s and 90\u2019s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 1 of the new positive individuals were on quarantine prior to testing positive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 13 of the previous positive individuals have recovered and have been removed from the isolation list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 2 of the current positive individuals are hospitalized. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 3 of the new positive individuals are residents of Orchard Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SCAM Alert<\/strong>: We received word that Several older adults in the Rochester area were called. The caller said for a small price they could get them an appointment to be vaccinated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No hassle. No worries. The caller \u201cgave them an appointment\u201d and told them to go to the State-run vaccination site in Rochester. When they arrived, they didn\u2019t have an appointment. Lost $100. Please note NO ONE is to ask for money to set up COVID-19 Vaccine Registration! If you get a call from someone saying they can get you an appointment for a \u2018small\u2019 amount of money, hang up, it is a scam!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When calling 211, individuals should choose the \u201cCOVID information\u201d prompt to get connected with a staff member who can assist. The hotline is open 24\/7. To avoid long wait times, please encourage individuals to call outside of normal business hours. A call-back function is also available. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
