years, they come every week for their share and pick up vegetables each week,&#8221; says Metzler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Porter Family farm has participated in CSA since 1996.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a model of agriculture that promotes a direct relationship between the farmer and the community. It offers fair prices for both the farmer and the members by eliminating the middleman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Members of the community purchase a share of the farm&#8217;s annual harvest before the growing season.
