The Orleans County Sheriff\u2019s office has filed seven additional charges against the driver of a vehicle involved in a crash in the Town of Barre. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The crash followed a grand larceny and vehicle pursuit that began in Batavia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On November 17, 2017, the Orleans County Sheriff\u2019s Office assisted the Genesee County Sheriff\u2019s Office in the apprehension and arrest of three individuals from Rochester for allegedly stealing $2,200in merchandise from the Kohl\u2019s Department Store in Batavia. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The vehicle, operated by Shabre A. Young, 25, of Fulton Ave, Rochester, N.Y., was traveling north on State Route 98 at a high rate of speed as a Genesee County Sheriff’s deputy and a NYS Trooper were attempting to stop it. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Young lost control of the vehicle near the intersection of Lime Kiln Road in the Town of Barre and struck and destroyed a utility pole.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0Undersheriff Christopher Bourke reports that following the accident investigation, Deputy D. Pahuta charged Young with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 3rd<\/sup>, speed not reasonable and prudent, reckless driving, speed in zone, improper right turn, moving from a lane unsafely and failed to comply with a willful order of a police officer.<\/em> <\/strong><\/p>\n

Young is scheduled to appear in the Town of Barre Court on December 21st<\/sup>, 2017, at 6:00pm<\/strong><\/p>\n
