Wyoming County Sheriff\u2019s deputies were called to the scene of a personal injury accident in the Town of Sheldon Monday afternoon, September 6, 2021 on Route 20A near Humphrey Road. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upon arrival, deputies determined that a Pennsylvania family was traveling home when the driver crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with an Orchard Park family on their way home from Maryland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Members of the Varysburg, Bennington, Strykersville, North Java, and Warsaw Fire Departments responded to the scene for assistance along with Mercy Flight. A total of 8 patients were transported from the scene to local hospitals for treatment. The injuries ranged from minor complaints of pain to one of the patients being listed in critical condition currently. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wyoming County Accident Reconstruction Team was requested to the scene. The investigation is continuing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A deputy from the Wyoming County Sheriff\u2019s Office was patrolling the Village of Warsaw, when a traffic stop was conducted for inadequate plate lamps on September 6, 2021. The operator was identified as Scott A. Moulton, 50, of Warsaw. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the traffic stop, Moulton allegedly showed signs of drug impairment and failed field sobriety testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moulton declined to cooperate with a drug influence evaluation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moulton is charged with DWAI\/drugs (felony), no\/inadequate plate lamp and uninspected motor vehicle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moulton is to appear on September 20, 2021 at 4:30p.m. at the Warsaw Village Court to answer the charges. Moulton was turned over to a sober third party.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
