Clay, 27, of Albion, is charged with assault 2nd, a class D felony, burglary 2nd, a class C felony, and criminal mischief 4th, after a domestic incident that occurred in the town of Byron on September 25, 2021 at 7:28a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Clay allegedly attacked another person with a hammer. After being thrown out of the residence, and then breaking back in, she attempted to attack the same person a second time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The victim sustained minor injury and denied EMS assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Clay turned herself in on an arrest warrant at the Genesee County Sheriff&#8217;s Office on September 29, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She was arraigned in Stafford Town Court and is being held on $5,000 cash bail. Clay is scheduled to appear in Byron Town Court on October 4, 2021 at 5:00p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Carrie A.
