{"id":30380,"date":"2022-01-31T16:15:52","date_gmt":"2022-01-31T21:15:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/?p=30380"},"modified":"2022-01-31T16:15:52","modified_gmt":"2022-01-31T21:15:52","slug":"wyoming-county-family-cat-perished-in-friday-afternoon-fire-in-java","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/index.php\/2022\/01\/31\/wyoming-county-family-cat-perished-in-friday-afternoon-fire-in-java\/","title":{"rendered":"WYOMING COUNTY\/Family cat perished in Friday afternoon fire in Java"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cause of an afternoon house fire in the Town of Java on January 28, 2022 remains under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Five fire companies, Strykersville, North Java, Arcade, Sheldon and Chaffee-Sardinia, responded to 998 Chaffee road for a reported structure fire about 3:18pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Wyoming County Office of Emergency Services, a neighbor called to report the fire, and no one was home at the time of the blaze.  The house sustained significant fire, smoke and water damage. A family cat perished in the fire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One adult and one child are being assisted by family and friends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Estimated damage is $100,000. The home is owned by Green Acres LLC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fire crews were on scene about 5.5 hours.
