Investigators say Steven K. Reber, 61, had been walking in the woods when a tree fell and struck him in the head, the tree fell due to the windy conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lifesaving measures were attempted at the scene by family and emergency personnel, but Reber succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Foul play is not suspected in the incident.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Genesee County Sheriff&#8217;s Office is investigating an accidental death that occurred on March 6, 2022, in Bergen.
