\u00a0On April 8, 2022, at 5:33p.m., Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested Shawn R. Eley, 36, of Varysburg, NY, for driving while intoxicated, previous conviction, an E-felony, aggravated DWI, an E-felony, refusal to take breath test, failure to obey traffic device,\u00a0drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle\u00a0and operating motor vehicle without proper bumper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On April 8, 2022, Troopers observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Rt.19 in the town of Warsaw with heavy front-end damage and bumper falling off into the roadway. When Troopers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, Eley continued to travel northbound through road closure signs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eley eventually pulled over and was placed under arrest. After failing field sobriety tests, he was transported to SP Warsaw for processing, where Eley recorded a .23% BAC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
