Jaequele M. Tomlin, 23, of Central Ave., Batavia, and Quamane J. Santiago, 19, of Main Rd., Stafford were arrested on Sumner Street in Batavia on the charge of\u00a0 conspiracy 4th.<\/p>\n

It is alleged that Tomlin and Santiago posted a false \u201cVehicle for Sale\u201d ad on Craigslist with the intent to rob any would be buyers. Concerned citizens alerted police to the post and the suspects’ suspicious behavior. Santiago and Tomlin were taken into custody by members of the Batavia Police Department and the Genesee County Drug Task Force. During their apprehension, both suspects were found to be in possession of replica firearms.<\/p>\n

Tomlin and Santiago were arraigned in Batavia City Court before Judge Balbick and remanded to the Genesee County Jail without bail. Tomlin and Santiago are scheduled to re-appear in City Court on today at 1:30p.m..<\/p>\n

Tomlin was also arrested on a City of Batavia warrant for criminal mischief and assault. Additional charges are pending on both suspects.
