The City of Batavia Police Department reports that Devon A. Wright has been taken into custody, without incident, in Lockport NY on Friday, July 8th, 2022. \u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wright had four active warrants; Bench Warrant – Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, Assault in the 3rd degree, Attempted Assault in the 1st degree, Criminal Sexual Act in the 1st degree,\u00a0 Arrest Warrant – Harassment 2nd \u2013 Physical Contact, Criminal Tampering 3rd Arrest Warrant – Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd \u2013 failed to appear on an appearance ticket. Bench Warrant – Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wright was transported to Genesee County Court\u00a0where he was arraigned before Judge Lightcap-Cianfrini\u00a0and remanded to the Genesee County Jail with\u00a0no bail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wright is scheduled to re-appear in court on 07\/11\/2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Batavia Police Department Detective Bureau was assisted by the New York State Police Troop A Community Stabilization Unit, New York State Police (Lockport and Niagara), Lockport Police Department, Niagara County Drug Task Force and the Community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
