Police Chief Shawn Heubusch says three officers have been sworn in and are currently in field training. One other is in academy currently.  Two officer positions remain open. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chief Heubusch says in 2013-14 there were 7 open positions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new officers will be involved in field training for about 12 weeks before they can serve on their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The City of Batavia Police have 6 NYS Field Training Officers within the department who will be working with the new officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officer Bryan Moscicki is a 2016 Notre Dame High School graduate and attended the Rural Police Academy at Genesee Community College.
