PRESS RELEASE
On August 21, 2022, at 5:50 P.M., Troopers out of SP Buffalo responded to I-90 west bound lane at the Slusser Road overpass in the town of Pembroke.\u00a0 Investigation determined that a 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 pulling a trailer was traveling west bound on the I-90.\u00a0 The Dodge exited the roadway on the right shoulder and drove through a grassy area until it struck the Slusser Road bridge.\u00a0 The trailer became detached and came to rest vertically against the overpass. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both occupants of the Dodge, Thomas T. Cartmel, 64 of Crossville, AL and the passenger Deborah J. Burrelli, 67 of Rochester, NY were both pronounced deceased at the scene by the Genesee County Coroner and transported to Monroe County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office for an autopsy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation assisted in this investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
