Robert S. Hill, 38, of Varysburg was arrested on several charges January 8, 2017 following a one car motor vehicle accident in the Town of Orangeville.<\/p>\n
Deputy Chase had located a car that had crashed into a culvert on Route 20A and observed foot tracks leading from the vehicle into an adjacent wooded area.<\/p>\n
New York State Police Trooper Hoy along with his partner, K9 Rison, arrived at the scene moments later to assist in the search for the driver.<\/p>\n
K9 Rison, a dutch shepard trained in narcotic detection and tracking, led officers approximately half a mile to a local business in the Town of Orangeville.<\/p>\n
At the business, the owner stated they had just given a stranger a ride to a location down the road.<\/p>\n
Deputy Chase and Deputy West responded to the location provided by the owner and located Robert Hill.<\/p>\n
Hill was interviewed and subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. Hill was transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff\u2019s Office where he supplied a breath sample of 0.13% BAC.<\/p>\n
Hill is charged with unsafe lane change, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, DWI, and driving with a BAC of .08% or greater. He is to answer the charges in the Town of Orangeville Court at a later date.<\/p>\n
The vehicle was estimated to be totaled and towed away by Ott\u2019s Collision.<\/p>\n
