The family member had not been able to make contact with Maher and requested that a welfare check be made at his residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sheriff Deputies responded to the residence and located Martin Maher deceased inside the home. It was determined that Maher was the victim of a homicide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In May 2022, Nicholas Maher accepted a plea deal and pleaded guilty to manslaughter first degree, a class B violent felony.
