The event was presented by the Agriculture Committee and the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce. Big O Farms produces 100,000 boxes of yellow and red onions a year, shipping 2,000 loads to mostly east coast customers throughout the year. The Torrey family farms 2200 acres of onions between Elba and the Syracuse area with all packing being completed out of their Elba facility at 5520 N.
