Members of the Wyoming County Drug Task announce the arrests of eleven individuals for allegedly selling drugs in Wyoming County. Members arrested these subjects over the past six weeks or so as they continue to be very aggressive against drug dealers throughout Wyoming County.<\/p>\n

\nOn February 28, 2018, Madison Willey, 25, of Park Ave., Perry, NY, was arrested and charged with 2 counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd and 2 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd. Willey is accused of selling Fentanyl and cocaine in the fall of 2017 in the Villages of Perry and Warsaw. She is currently in the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.<\/p>\n

\nOn February 23, 2018, Joaanna Piontkowski, 26, of Linwood Ave., Warsaw, NY, was charged with 1 count of criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd and 1 count of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree. Piontkowski is accused of selling cocaine in the Village of Warsaw during the summer of 2017. She is currently free after posting bail.<\/p>\n

\nOn February 17, 2018, Mitchell Freeman, 29, of Quinlan Road, LeRoy, NY, was charged with 1 count of criminal sale of a controlled substance 4th and 1 count of criminal possession of a controlled substance 5th degree. Freeman is accused of selling Buprenorphine in the Village of Attica in the fall of 2017. Additional charges are possible and Freeman is currently being held in the Wyoming County Jail.<\/p>\n

On February 1, 2018, a seventeen year old Town of Eagle man was charged with 2 counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd and 2 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree. He is accused of selling Oxycodone on 2 occasions in the Town of Eagle during the summer of 2017. The teen was released and his name is not being released as he may be eligible for youthful offender status.<\/p>\n

On February 1, 2018, Lance Mercado, 27, of Dellinger Ave., Batavia, NY, was charged with 2 counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance 4th degree, and 2 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 5th . Mercado is accused of selling Buprenorphine on two occasions in the fall of 2017 in the Village of Attica. Mercado is currently locked up in the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.<\/p>\n

On February 1, 2018, Racheal Houlihan, 27, of Spring Street, Castile, NY, was charged with 2 counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd degree and 2 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree. Houlihan is accused of selling Heroin and Fentanyl in the Villages of Warsaw and Perry. She is is free after posting bail.<\/p>\n

On January 25, 2018, William Lockwood, 25, of Howard Street, Franklinville, NY, was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree, and a variety of lesser charges. Lockwood is accused of selling Methamphetamine in December of 2017 in the Town of Arcade. Drug Task Force members also executed a search warrant at his home at the time which was located in the Town of Arcade, and located a quantity of suspected Crystal Meth, cash, and drug paraphernalia. Lockwood is currently locked up in the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail.<\/p>\n

On January 22, 2018, Holden Byer, 26, of Park Street, Warsaw, NY, was charged with 1 count of criminal sale of a controlled substance 4th and 1 count of criminal possession of a controlled substance 4th degree. Byer is accused of selling Suboxone in the Village of Warsaw.<\/p>\n

On January 16, 2018, William Haight, 29,\u00a0 no known address, was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd after he agreed to sell narcotics in the Village of Attica and ended up stealing the money which was given to him to purchase the drugs. He is currently being held in the Wyoming County Jail.<\/p>\n

On January 11, 2018, David Schmieder, 23, of N. Main Street, Warsaw, NY, was charged with 1 count of criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd degree, 1 count of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree, and 2 counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance 5th degree, and criminal possession of a controlled substanc 5th degree. Schmieder is accused of selling amphetamines on 2 occasions and heroin on another, all while in the Village of Warsaw in the fall of 2017. Schmieder is currently in the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail.<\/p>\n

Lastly, on January 9, 2018, Benjamin Flynn, 28, of Sonyea Road, Mount Morris, NY, was charged with 2 counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance 4th degree, and 2 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 5th degree. Flynn is accused of selling Buprenorphine on 2 occasions in the spring of 2016 while in the Village of Perry.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Task force members are still seeking several other suspects on drug indictment warrants and will continue to do their due diligence on fighting the current drug epidemic.<\/p>\n

Sheriff Gregory J. Rudolph states, \u201cThe Wyoming County Drug Task Force continues to diligently investigate in the enforcement piece of this drug epidemic. Enforcement will not combat addictions and intense treatment is needed to tackle that difficulty, however, we as a law enforcement community are all committed to investigating and arresting drug dealers who prey and profit from those addictions. It is also our hope that taking drug dealers off the street contributes to the prevention piece of this epidemic particularly with our youth. Stemming the opioid crisis is a multi-prong approach and the Wyoming County Drug Task Force is resolved in doing our part.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Wyoming County Drug Task Force includes members from the Sheriff\u2019s Office as well as the Arcade, Attica, Perry, and Warsaw Police Departments.<\/p>\n
