While officers were interviewing the caller, Armstrong unlawfully entered another apartment in the apartment house, barricaded himself inside and held the tenant against their will. Armstrong was armed with a knife and made threats to harm himself&nbsp;as well as&nbsp;placing&nbsp;the victim in a position that placed them in fear for their safety.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"900\" height=\"507\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lNYXSMITMJw?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong><em>Video of scene-March 20, 2023<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While inside, he damaged property and refused to allow the victim to call for help. The Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Crisis Negotiations Team (CNT) were&nbsp;dispatched along with assistance from the Genesee County Sheriff&#8217;s Office Road Patrol. The victim was able to escape through an upstairs window and was assisted to safety by officers.
