{"id":41682,"date":"2023-04-20T16:25:54","date_gmt":"2023-04-20T20:25:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/?p=41682"},"modified":"2023-04-20T16:25:54","modified_gmt":"2023-04-20T20:25:54","slug":"genesee-county-school-threat-investigation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/index.php\/2023\/04\/20\/genesee-county-school-threat-investigation\/","title":{"rendered":"GENESEE COUNTY\/School threat investigation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Press release <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apr 20th, 2023- At approximately 1:07 PM the Genesee County 911 Dispatch Center received a report from the Veteran&#8217;s Administration\u00a0Hotline that a male subject had called them and stated they were\u00a0going to get a weapon and &#8220;shoot up a school&#8221;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This information was immediately relayed to patrols in the City and throughout the County working. An initial trace of the phone number provided showed the phone to\u00a0be in the City of Batavia area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Patrols were dispatched to each school in Genesee County as a precautionary measure and all county-wide schools placed into lockout. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officers and investigators from multiple law enforcement agencies followed up on leads and determined the threat to not be credible and in fact was false. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently a juvenile is being interviewed by the City of Batavia Detective Bureau regarding the matter, no further information regarding the\u00a0juvenile will be released at this time.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All schools were released from lockout at approximately 2:25\u00a0PM.
