{"id":450,"date":"2017-01-26T17:01:13","date_gmt":"2017-01-26T22:01:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/?p=450"},"modified":"2017-01-26T17:01:13","modified_gmt":"2017-01-26T22:01:13","slug":"east-pembrokebusiness-loses-200000-worth-of-tools-in-garage-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/index.php\/2017\/01\/26\/east-pembrokebusiness-loses-200000-worth-of-tools-in-garage-fire\/","title":{"rendered":"East Pembroke\/Business loses $200,000 worth of tools in garage fire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/p6wqeTp5Mig\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Larry Abaire, owner of Genesee Auto, was working on taking parts off a car in his rented garage space on Pratt road in East Pembroke when gas leaking from a gas tank sparked a fire.<\/p>\n<p>Abaire&#8217;s friend who was inside the garage with him called 9-1-1 while Abaire attempted to put the fire out with an extinguisher.<\/p>\n<p>The fire quickly spread and Abaire and his friend had to vacate the building.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We tried to save what we could,&#8221; says Don Newton East Pembroke Fire Chief. &#8220;Wasn&#8217;t much to be saved, the fire was blowing out the front door when we got on scene.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Abaire says he lost $200,000 worth of tools in the fire along with some junk cars.<\/p>\n<p>No one was injured in the fire, the building and the back garage are a total loss.<\/p>\n<p>Six fire companies were called to the scene about 11:15a.m. to help put out the blaze.<\/p>\n<p>A tool or light that was used may have sparked the the fire.<\/p>\n<p>Abaire says he has been renting at the garage for 5 years and not all his equipment was at this location.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Larry Abaire, owner of Genesee Auto, was working on taking parts off a car in his rented garage space on Pratt road in East Pembroke when gas leaking from a gas tank sparked a fire.
