That man had run off into the woods and the suspect was in the living room with a gun. Law enforcement searched the road and checked on three residences to make sure everyone was okay between Sumner Road and Rt. 33.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wikipedia definition below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Swatting<\/strong>\u00a0is a criminal\u00a0harassment\u00a0tactic of deceiving an\u00a0emergency service\u00a0(via such means as\u00a0hoaxing\u00a0an emergency services\u00a0dispatcher) into sending a police or emergency service response team to another person&#8217;s address. This is triggered by false reporting of a serious\u00a0law enforcement\u00a0emergency, such as a\u00a0bomb threat,\u00a0murder,\u00a0hostage situation, or a false report of a mental health emergency, such as reporting that a person is allegedly\u00a0suicidal\u00a0or homicidal and may or may not be armed, among other things<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chief Deputy Joseph Graff with the Genesee County Sheriff&#8217;s Office says the incident will be investigated.
