Several occupants of an apartment house at 13 Stanton Avenue in the Village of Perry escaped an early morning fire on Wednesday, according to Wyoming County Office of Emergency Services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two occupants of the second-floor apartment were able to escape down the stairwell. The occupant of the lower apartment had to escape through a front window due to the fire engulfing the doorway to the apartment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Damages are estimated at $90,000 and the cause of the fire is under investigation. The home is owned by KRT Realty LLC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fire crews from Perry, Perry Center, Castile, Silver Springs, Warsaw and Mr. Morris were on location for 4.5 hours and were called in to the scene about 2:15a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The structure was extensively damaged by fire, smoke and water and the occupants of both apartments are being assisted by the Red Cross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
