On Friday, February 23, 2024, WILLIAM E. WALLACE, age 72, appeared before the Honorable Melissa Lightcap Cianfrini and unconditionally pleaded guilty to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9 counts – Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child (a Class \u201cD\u201d Felony)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 counts – Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child (a Class \u201cE\u201d Felony)<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

On Friday, February 23, 2024, WILLIAM E. WALLACE, age 72, appeared before the Honorable Melissa Lightcap Cianfrini and unconditionally pleaded guilty to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9 counts – Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child (a Class \u201cD\u201d Felony)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 counts – Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child (a Class \u201cE\u201d Felony)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previously:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WYOMING COUNTY\/Castile man facing a 12-count indictment, accused of promoting and possessing a sexual performance by a child \u2013 Video News Service<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

WILLIAM E. WALLACE admitted that on September 10, 2023, he \u201cknowing the character and content thereof, knowingly possessed a performance which included sexual conduct by a child less than sixteen years old.\u201d He also admitted that in the years of 2022 and 2023, on multiple dates, he \u201cpromoted a performance which included sexual conduct by a child less than seventeen years of age.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was no sentencing commitment from either the People or the Court. Defendant faces a maximum sentence on each of the 9 counts of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child of 7 years in NYS Prison and on each of the 3 counts of Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child of 4 years in prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sentencing was adjourned until May 20, 2024 at 1:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Thursday, December 7, 2023, WILLIAM E. WALLACE, a 72 year old resident of Castile, New York, was arraigned on a twelve count indictment charging him with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9 counts – Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child (a Class \u201cD\u201d Felony)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 counts – Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child (a Class \u201cE\u201d Felony)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

William Wallace pleaded not guilty and the case was adjourned until January 18, 2024 for motions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The District Attorney\u2019s Office asked for bail to be set in the amount of $40,000 \/ $80,000 \/ $160,000. The Court released Defendant to the pre-trial release program with an ankle monitor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
