On 4\/15\/2024, Adam T. Shipwash, 44, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Attempted Robbery 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, Menacing 2nd degree, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. It\u2019s alleged that Shipwash entered the Mobil gas station on East Main Street, brandished a knife, and demanded money from the clerk. Shipwash left the store, after the clerk refused to give him any money. He was arraigned in CAP Court and is due in Batavia City Court at a later date. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 4\/7\/2024, Johnathan M. Falk, 25, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny. Falk allegedly stole merchandise from Tops. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court, on 4\/23\/2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 4\/15\/2024, Jeanna M. Hattaway, 37, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on a bench warrant. The warrant stems from a traffic stop in April of 2023, where she was allegedly found in possession of a controlled substance. The warrant was issued when she failed to appear in court. Hattaway was arraigned in CAP Court and is due in Batavia City Court at a later date. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 4\/13\/2024, Lance D. Beals, 53, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on two bench warrants. The first warrant stems from an incident on 7\/12\/2023, where Beals allegedly stole and damaged a cell phone from a residence on East Main Street. The second warrant stems from an incident on 7\/30\/2023, where Beals again damaged property at the same residence. He was issued appearance tickets in both cases. The warrants were issued after he failed to appear in court. Beals was arraigned in CAP Court and is due in Batavia City Court at a later date. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 4\/15\/2024, Shane R. Reisman, 54, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny. It\u2019s alleged that Reisman stole property from Tops. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Batavia City Court on 5\/7\/2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 4\/8\/2024, Tiffany M. Macey, 32, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on an arrest warrant. Macey was issued several appearance tickets following a traffic stop on 7\/2\/2023. The warrant was issued after she failed to appear in court. Macey was arraigned in CAP Court and is due in Batavia City Court at a later date. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 4\/11\/2024, Ann M. Capuano, 39, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Menacing 2nd degree, Criminal Mischief 4th degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Capuano allegedly damaged her neighbor\u2019s door and threatened him with a hammer while in the presence of a child. She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Batavia City Court on 4\/23\/2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 4\/12\/2024, Michael R. Ostrander, 59, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd degree. It\u2019s alleged that Ostrander violated an order of protection at the Genesee County Courthouse. When police responded to his residence to arrest him, he was found with the protected party and charged with a second count of Criminal Contempt 2nd degree. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail. He is due back in court on 4\/17\/2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 4\/5\/2024, Nicholas L. Stone, 25, of East Pembroke, NY, was arrested and charged with DWI. Batavia Police were called to the Copperhead Creek Bar for the report of a large fight. As police arrived, a vehicle operated by Stone, was observed leaving the area at a high rate of speed. Stone allegedly fled southbound on South Lyon Street and failed to negotiate the turn at South Main Street and drove off the road and through a yard, causing damage to the lawn. Stone is charged with DWI, Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle, Criminal Mischief 4th degree, and several other traffic violations. He is due in Batavia City Court on 4\/16\/2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 4\/8\/2024, Eric R. Sawyer, 36, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with DWI. Sawyer was charged after a traffic stop on Bogue Avenue. He was issued several traffic tickets and released. He is due in Batavia City Court on 4\/24\/2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 4\/8\/2024, Tanisha N Gibson, 39, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd degree. Gibson allegedly violated an order of protection by engaging in a verbal argument with the person named in the order. She was arraigned and is due back in court at a later date. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 4\/7\/2024, John H. Bush Jr., 40, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on three bench warrants. A Batavia Police Officer located Bush at the Mobil gas station on East Main Street. When the officer began to take Bush into custody on the warrants, Bush pulled away from the officer and attempted to run. Police were able to stop him and successfully take him into custody. He was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest and Escape 3rd degree. He was arraigned in CAP Court and is due back in court on 4\/23\/2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
