Chief Michael J. Grover reports the arrest of a Perry resident following a child endangerment Investigation by the Perry Police Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On April 30, 2024, the Perry Police Department received a call for a four-year-old child found unattended. A homeowner located the child with no clothes on, attempting to enter a pool after unlocking a gate at a residence on Tempest Street. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The homeowner contacted police who were able to make contact with the parent of the child, Courtney Nearhood, no age or address provided. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nearhood was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child less than 17 and issued an appearance ticket with a return court date of 06\/11\/2024 at 1:00PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
