{"id":53695,"date":"2024-06-04T00:41:10","date_gmt":"2024-06-04T04:41:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/?p=53695"},"modified":"2024-06-04T00:41:10","modified_gmt":"2024-06-04T04:41:10","slug":"genesee-county-expands-help-program-to-include-additional-non-competitive-positions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/index.php\/2024\/06\/04\/genesee-county-expands-help-program-to-include-additional-non-competitive-positions\/","title":{"rendered":"Genesee County Expands HELP Program to include additional Non-Competitive positions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Press release<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Genesee County, NY &#8211; Genesee County is pleased to announce the expansion of the Hiring Emergency<br>Limited Placement (HELP) Program, approved by the New York State Department of Civil Service, to<br>address staffing shortages for critical roles.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The HELP Program, initially implemented for the following key positions, has now been extended to<br>include several additional titles.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Previously Approved HELP Program Titles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Caseworkers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emergency Services Dispatchers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mental Health Clinical Therapists<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mental Health Clinical Social Workers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social Welfare Examiners<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Newly Approved Non-Competitive Positions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Accounting Supervisors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assistant Social Worker II<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Case Manager II<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clerk Typist<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electronic Health Records Program Specialist<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Financial Clerk Typist<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Housing Coordinator<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intake Clerk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Legal Clerk Typist<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Motor Vehicle Service Representative<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Effective immediately until December 31, 2024, candidates hired for these positions will not be required<br>to undergo Civil Service testing and will be hired in a non-competitive classification. This extension aims<br>to enhance recruitment efforts, increase the pool of qualified candidates, and alleviate concerns about<br>exam requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The County&#8217;s Human Resources Department will continue collaborating with various departments to<br>ensure a smooth transition and effective recruitment for these roles.<br>Candidates must still meet the minimum qualifications for their respective positions.
