BATAVIA, NY\u2013<\/em><\/strong> United Memorial Medical Center\u2019s Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center<\/a> has been awarded the prestigious 2023 President\u2019s Circle award by Healogics, the nation\u2019s largest provider of advanced wound care services. The center also received the Center of Distinction and Robert A. Warriner III Clinical Excellence awards for 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UMMC\u2019s Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center is a member of the Healogics network of Wound Care Centers. The three awards signify the center has achieved high standards and surpassed key performance indicators for patient satisfaction and wound healing rates. Of the more than 600 Healogics Wound Care Centers across the United States, there were only 34 President\u2019s Circle awardees in 2023, and UMMC is one of only two centers in New York to achieve the distinction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President and Chief Operating Officer of Rochester Regional Health\u2019s Finger Lakes Rural Hospitals  Daniel Ireland says while this will be UMMC\u2019s eighth consecutive Center of Distinction award, becoming a President\u2019s Circle Wound Care Center is further recognition of the team\u2019s dedication and commitment to the community they serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s evident our wound center team takes pride in providing high-quality patient-centered care, year after year,\u201d Ireland said.  \u201cTo be recognized consistently for their performance demonstrates their commitment to living the mission and purpose of the hospital system \u2013 to uplift humanity through care for our community.\u200b We are elated that they have been named a President\u2019s Circle Wound Care Center.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Wound & Hyperbaric Medicine Care team- Dr. Joseph Canzoneri, Dr. Christine Cameron, Dr. Cameron McLean, and Sean Yeckley, PA- offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds that have not healed in a reasonable amount of time.  They use a state-of-the-art interdisciplinary approach including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, to help progress the healing of the wound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe physicians and team work hard to create a team approach to caring for and healing their patients,\u201d said Lisa Klein, UMMC Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center director.  \u201cQuality care with high healing rates and high patient satisfaction rates are what we all strive for every day. Each patient is paired with a case manager to ensure their needs are met, including testing, medications and home care. We also work with patients\u2019 primary care providers to help heal their wounds.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
