On August 2nd, 2024 at approximately 10:06 AM, the Wyoming County 911 Center received several calls of a tree that had fallen onto a house on Thompson Avenue in the Town of Castile. Reports were also received of live wires down in the area and two people trapped in the debris. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through investigation, it was discovered that a husband and wife were departing their stay from an Air Bed and Breakfast at the time of the incident. The couple were outside loading their vehicle when a tree collapsed, striking the front of the residence and several nearby cars, bringing down power lines and causing extensive damage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
