On Friday August 17, 2018, in the Village of Perry at about 9:30a.m., Officer Spink of the Perry Police Department was assisting the Oneida Indians Nations Police with a follow up investigation.<\/p>\n
Upon further investigation, it was found that the suspect, 23 year old, Michael Taylor of Perry, New York, allegedly had what was believed to be a controlled substance in his possession. Officer Spink performed a NIK test (field presumptive test) on the substance which showed a positive test for cocaine.<\/p>\n
Officer Spink placed Taylor under arrest for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree and criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree.<\/p>\n
Taylor was arraigned in Perry Village Court in front of Honorable Bogart and committed to Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash, $25,000 property bond.<\/p>\n
Taylor will return to court on September 11, 2018 at 1:00p.m.<\/p>\n

On Saturday August 18, 2018, at about 9:30p.m,, Officers performed a routine traffic stop on a vehicle in the Village of Perry for multiple equipment violations.<\/p>\n
Upon stopping the vehicle, it was found that the driver of the vehicle, 46 year old Richard Robinson of Batavia, New York, was allegedly operating a motor vehicle under impairment.<\/p>\n
Robinson was asked to perform field sobriety tests and performed poorly on the tests, Robinson was placed under arrest in the Village of Perry. A drug recognition evaluation was performed by the Wyoming County Sheriff\u2019s Office, and it was found that Robinson was allegedly impaired by more than one type of drug.<\/p>\n
Officers charged Robinson with DWAI\/Drugs and Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs Special.<\/p>\n
Robinson was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and ticketed for the equipment violations.<\/p>\n
Robinson was released on appearance tickets and will appear in court on September 11, 2018 at 1:00p.m. to answer the charges.<\/p>\n
