On February 14, 2025, at approximately 8:06p.m., Robert M. Smith, 73, of Blasdell, NY was arrested after allegedly pulling a box cutter knife on a worker at Eagle Star Housing at 2620 West Main Street Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Smith was charged with menacing 2nd degree\/weapon, a class A misdemeanor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing and was later arraigned on the charge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Christopher E. Merrell, 62, of Bank Street, Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a BAC of .08% or more, aggravated unlicensed operation 1st degree, and moving from a lane unsafely, following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident on Batavia Elba Townline Road on February 15, 2025 at 6:37a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Merrell was released on an appearance ticket and is to appear in the Elba Town Court on March 12, 2025 at 5:00p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On February 10, 2025, Charles P. Stevens, 36, of Clinton Street Road, Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree during a traffic stop on Clinton Street Road. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s alleged that Stevens was in possession of buprenorphine\/ naloxone and cocaine. Stevens was released with an appearance ticket and is to appear at the Batavia Town Court on February 25, 2025 at 1:00p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On February 13, 2025, following an investigation into the location of a wanted subject, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Lewiston Road in the Town of Batavia. <\/p>\n\n\n

Clint J. Towne, 44, of Phelps Road, Batavia, NY was allegedly an occupant in the suspect vehicle and was taken into custody pursuant to an active arrest warrant for eight unrelated felony offenses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following an investigation, Towne and the of operator of the vehicle, Steven M. Morales, 49, of Lewiston Road, Batavia, NY, were allegedly in possession of over fifty grams of cocaine, an ounce of fentanyl, alprazolam tablets, forty-six sublingual buprenorphine\/ naloxone strips, and mannitol. <\/p>\n\n\n

Morales was also allegedly operating the vehicle with suspended driving privileges. It is also alleged that Towne concealed and attempted to destroy evidence that would be used in a proceeding against him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Towne and Morales are charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree – Intent to Sell (4 counts each) a class B felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree \u2014 Over an ounce (2 counts each) a class D felony, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree, a class A Misdemeanor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Morales is additionally charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree, an unclassified misdemeanor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Towne is additionally charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, a class E Felony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Towne and Morales were held at the Genesee County Jail pending CAP Court arraignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kenneth G. Muckle, 56, of Franklin Street, Batavia, NY, is charged with Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor, and Conspiracy 6th degree, a class B misdemeanor, after allegedly stealing merchandise from a store on Veteran’s Memorial Drive in the Town of Batavia on February 5, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Muckle was transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing and was released on an appearance ticket. He will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on February 18, 2025, at 1:00p.m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
