{"id":63207,"date":"2025-04-01T23:09:53","date_gmt":"2025-04-02T03:09:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/?p=63207"},"modified":"2025-04-01T23:09:53","modified_gmt":"2025-04-02T03:09:53","slug":"batavia-city-releases-survey-to-gain-community-input-on-updates-to-williams-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/index.php\/2025\/04\/01\/batavia-city-releases-survey-to-gain-community-input-on-updates-to-williams-park\/","title":{"rendered":"BATAVIA\/City releases survey to gain community input on updates to Williams Park"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>New York State Funding Supports Construction of Municipal Parks and Recreation Sites that Show Community Need and Support for Improvements<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Press release<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BATAVIA, NEW YORK \u2013 The City of Batavia is interested in applying for the Municipal Parks and Recreation (MPR) Grant Program, through the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MPR Grant will assist communities build new municipal parks in the state while also working to improve the natural, ecological, culture, and recreational aspects of existing parks in municipal ownership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selection criteria for this grant encourages the participation of parks that show community need through the Disadvantaged Community (DAC) category. In the City of Batavia, this impacts the 5th and 6th ward and Williams Park in particular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In order to achieve construction plans and a grant application that is fully representative of the community\u2019s need, the city is encouraging residents to complete the Batavia Park Improvement Survey.
