<\/p>\nSheriff’s deputies responded to the Village of Alexander on October 13, 2018 at 12:40a.m. for the report of a larceny from a vehicle.<\/p>\n
As the deputies checked the area, two people were located walking northbound on Main street. The pair, from 434 East Main street in Batavia, were identified by deputies.<\/p>\n

Following an investigation, Mitchell D. Merrill, 33, and Haley M. Merrill, 26, were placed under arrest for allegedly being in possession of stolen property consisting of 5 credit cards and other personal property which was reported stolen from multiple vehicles throughout the village.<\/p>\n
Both Mitchell and Haley are each charged with 5 counts of criminal possession of stolen property 4th and 4 counts of criminal possession of stolen property 5th.<\/p>\n
Mitchell is being held without bail and Haley is being held on $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond bail.<\/p>\n
Both are due back in the Alexander Court on October 16, 2018 at 4:45p.m.<\/p>\n
