{"id":65890,"date":"2025-07-09T12:28:23","date_gmt":"2025-07-09T16:28:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/?p=65890"},"modified":"2025-07-09T12:28:23","modified_gmt":"2025-07-09T16:28:23","slug":"genesee-county-village-of-oakfield-to-provide-wastewater-treatment-services-for-stamp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/index.php\/2025\/07\/09\/genesee-county-village-of-oakfield-to-provide-wastewater-treatment-services-for-stamp\/","title":{"rendered":"GENESEE COUNTY\/Village of Oakfield to provide wastewater treatment services for STAMP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Approximately $4.5 million to be invested in village infrastructure as part of agreement with STAMP Sewer Works Corporation<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Press release<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">OAKFIELD, NY \u2013 The STAMP Sewer Works Corporation and the Village of Oakfield have reached an agreement to collaborate on the design, construction, and operation of a new force main, including sewer lines, pump stations and metering equipment, to provide sanitary sewer services at STAMP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The agreement stipulates that the STAMP Sewer Works Corporation will compensate the Village $415,000 to reserve100,000 gallons per day of treatment capacity for non-industrial sanitary sewage, equating to $4.15 per gallon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Non-industrial sanitary sewage would go from STAMP by a force main to be treated at the village wastewater treatment facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An estimated $2.7 million for various improvements to the Village\u2019s wastewater treatment facility and $1.8 million to offset Village costs for street reconstruction, watermain replacement, and storm sewer improvements along the route of the new force main on North Pearl and Mill Streets are earmarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If demand increases at STAMP above 100,000 gallons\/day, a new design study will be conducted before any consideration of improvements and allocation of treatment capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe appreciate the support of the Village in collaborating on a design for this critical infrastructure need at STAMP,\u201d said Mark Masse, GCEDC President and CEO. \u201cThis investment by the Corporation continues to enhance water and wastewater among other infrastructure in and around the STAMP site providing significant benefits to residents and businesses in the Village and Towns of Oakfield and Alabama.
