{"id":66702,"date":"2025-08-05T16:25:20","date_gmt":"2025-08-05T20:25:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/?p=66702"},"modified":"2025-08-05T16:25:20","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T20:25:20","slug":"genesee-county-distribution-center-proposed-in-gateway-ii-corporate-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/index.php\/2025\/08\/05\/genesee-county-distribution-center-proposed-in-gateway-ii-corporate-park\/","title":{"rendered":"GENESEE COUNTY\/Distribution Center proposed in Gateway II Corporate Park"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><em>$11 million project would construct 165,000 SQ FT facility in Town of Batavia<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Press release<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BATAVIA, NY \u2013 A project submitted to the Genesee County Economic Development Center is projected to generate $18.7 million in community benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Genesee County Economic Development Center (GCEDC) board of directors will consider an initial resolution at its August 7 meeting for Mega Properties, Inc.\u2019s proposed construction of a 165,000 square foot distribution center at the Gateway II Corporate Park in the town of Batavia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mega Properties, Inc.\u2019s proposed $11 million distribution center has pledged to create 28 full-time equivalent (FTE) positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mega Properties, Inc. is requesting a sales tax exemption of $523,328, a mortgage tax exemption of $80,000, and a property tax abatement of $1,504,602. The project is estimated to generate $17.5 million in new payroll and $1.2 million in future tax revenues, for an estimated $11 local benefit for every $1 of requested incentives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gateway II Corporate Park is a shovel-ready site located north of New York State Thruway Exit 48, enabling tenants to quickly reach customers across the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the proposed project application is advanced, a public hearing will be scheduled in the town of Batavia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The GCEDC board meeting will be on Thursday, August 7 at 3 p.m. at the MedTech Center\u2019s Innovation Zone, 99 MedTech Drive, Batavia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meeting materials and links to a live stream\/on-demand recording of the meeting are available at www.gcedc.com.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>$11 million project would construct 165,000 SQ FT facility in Town of Batavia Press release BATAVIA, NY \u2013 A project submitted to the Genesee County Economic Development Center is projected to generate $18.7 million in community benefits.
