Perry Police Chief Michael J. Grover reports that a third individual, Samantha E. Metcalf, 34, has been arrested in connection with the incident that occurred on July 20th, 2025, where two children ingested marijuana-infused gummies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Metcalf was arrested on August 12th, 2025, and charged with Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, after allegedly failing to properly secure the edibles that two 5-year-old children ingested and were later treated for at Strong Memorial Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Metcalf was arraigned at the Perry Village Court by Honorable Judge Wolcott and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to return to court on September 9th, 2025, at 1:00p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
