Bourke announces that on August 19, 2025, the Orleans County\u00a0Sheriff\u2019s Office arrested\u00a0Brianna R. Button, 29, of Holley, NY, on\u00a0two counts of\u00a0Endangering the Welfare of a Child\u00a0following an investigation into an incident that\u00a0occurred on July 7, 2025 at Newport Drive in the Town of Murray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The investigation determined that two 15-year-old males became unresponsive after&nbsp;smoking an unknown substance allegedly provided by Ms. Button. Although Ms. Button&nbsp;attempted life-saving measures on one of the juveniles, she left the scene prior to the&nbsp;arrival of emergency medical responders. A NYS Parole Officer operating in the area&nbsp;provided medical assistance upon being waved down by area residents who became aware&nbsp;of the situation. The Murray Joint Fire District responded to the scene and were assisted by&nbsp;Hamlin Ambulance, and Mercy Ambulance. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both juveniles were transported to area hospitals for treatment and have since made a full&nbsp;recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Endangering the Welfare of a Child is a Class A misdemeanor punishable of up to 1 year&nbsp;incarceration and $1000.00 fine. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This case was investigated by Investigator Brian Marsceill and Investigator Kevin Colonna&nbsp;of the Orleans County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Juveniles became unresponsive after smoking an unknown substance PRESS RELEASE Sheriff Christopher M.
