Genesee County is commending the unified response of local first responders, county departments, regional partners, and state agencies following the tragic tour bus crash on the
New York State Thruway this past weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This incident underscored the vital importance of preparation and planning, as every layer of the
county\u2019s emergency response system was called into action. The coordinated effort demonstrated how
those plans come together in moments of crisis, relying on clear communication and collaboration
across many agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sheriff Joseph Graff praised the dedication of law enforcement and dispatchers, stating:

\u201cDuring moments like these, the men and women of the Genesee County Sheriff\u2019s Office continually
demonstrate the highest standards of service. Our deputies and emergency services dispatchers worked
tirelessly alongside the New York State Police, our regional law enforcement partners, and the first
responders from across the region, showing the true strength that comes from teamwork and an
unwavering commitment to public safety. It is an honor to work with such dedicated individuals, and I
thank them for their steadfast commitment. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the individuals and

Tim Yaeger, Director of Emergency Management, recognized the magnitude of the regional response:

Words are not enough to express our gratitude for the strength, courage, and dedication shown. Being

County Manager Matt Landers highlighted the collaboration across county departments:

to emergency management, health, mental health, social services, and our dispatchers, each played an
