On August 31, 2025, Norman M. Bloom Jr., 38, of Medina, NY, was arrested following a multi-agency investigation into an erratic motor vehicle operation and menacing complaint. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bloom Jr. had allegedly followed a motor vehicle from the Town of Corfu to the Town of Medina and allegedly displayed what appeared to be a handgun at the victims in their vehicle during erratic operation of his motor vehicle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bloom Jr. was taken into custody by the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office and transported to the Genesee County Jail for arrest processing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bloom Jr. is charged with three counts of Menacing 2nd degree and was held for CAP Court arraignment on August 31st, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by New York State Police-Batavia, NY Barracks, New York State Police-Albion, NY Barracks, Medina Police Department, and Orleans County Sheriff’s Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On September 2, 2025, Keith A. Merrell, 61, of Barre, NY, was arrested following a larceny investigation on August 30, 2025 at BJ’s Wholesale Club in the Town of Batavia, NY. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is alleged that Merrell entered a motor vehicle in the parking lot and allegedly stole a black leather purse that contained personal identification documents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Merrell is charged with grand larceny 4th degree, a class E felony, and unlawful possession of personal ID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Merrell was transported to the Genesee County Jail for arrest processing. He is scheduled to appear to Town of Batavia Court on September 23, 2025, at 3:00p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a traffic stop on Clinton Street Road in the town of Bergen on September 6th, 2025, Jaryn J. Covell, 24, of Buffalo, NY was arrested and charged with Driving with a BAC over .18%, Driving While Intoxicated, and Speed over 55 MPH. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Covell was issued appearance tickets and is set to appear in the Town of Bergen Court on October 15th,
2025 at 5:00p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 23, 2025, Jennifer L. Bannister, 53, of West Seneca, NY, was charged with DWI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bannister was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated by alcohol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
