On behalf of our Board of Directors, I\u2019m honored to announce that over $11,000 was raised to help create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. In the coming months we will be announcing our exciting 2026 summer concert line-up and we look forward to Make-A-Wish playing a key role with us once again.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" controls src=\"https:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Downs-make-a-wish-mp4.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Video of press conference on Tuesday September 16th<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout the 8 concerts of Batavia Downs\u2019 Rockin\u2019 The Downs Summer Concert Series, volunteers at the Make-A-Wish chair-rental booth rented out orange chairs, sold glow jewelry as well as Make&nbsp; A Wish branded can coolers.&nbsp; The chairs were adorned with the Make-A-Wish logo and the message:&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>The person sitting in this chair is helping to transform lives<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMake-A-Wish is grateful for our ongoing partnership with Batavia Downs and the \u201cRockin\u2019 the Downs\u201d Summer Concert Series, providing the opportunity for our volunteers to raise awareness and crucial funds to help support children fighting critical illnesses, not only in the Batavia community but throughout this 17-county region, said&nbsp;<a>Ben Marchione, Regional Director, Make-A-Wish Western New York<\/a>.&nbsp; \u201cIt is only through vitally important community partnerships such as this that we are able to continue to serve our essential mission.
