On Thursday, February 23, 2017, BRADLEY J. BROADBENT<\/u><\/strong>, age 37, appeared for sentencing before the Honorable\u00a0Michael M. Mohun.<\/p>\n

BRADLEY J. BROADBENT<\/u><\/strong> was convicted following a 3 day jury trial on January 10, 2017 of one count of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.\u00a0 The charges arose from Defendant\u2019s possession and sale of 13 bags of Heroin, laced with the horse tranquilizer Xylaxine, to a Confidential Informant in the Village of Perry on January 14, 2016.<\/p>\n

Prior to sentencing BRADLEY BROADBENT<\/u><\/strong> admitted that he should be sentenced as a second felony drug offender, with a prior violent felony conviction.\u00a0 Judge Michael M. Mohun sentenced BRADLEY J. BROADBENT<\/u><\/strong> to a determinate sentence of ten years in New York State Prison with 1.5 years of Post-Release Supervision on each count, to run concurrent with each other.<\/p>\n

Former Assistant District Attorney Eric Schiener prosecuted the case at trial for the People.\u00a0 First Assistant District Attorney Vincent Hemming handled the sentencing.\u00a0 The Defendant was represented by attorney Leah Nowotarski, Esq.<\/p>\n
