{"id":719,"date":"2017-02-27T17:12:26","date_gmt":"2017-02-27T22:12:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/?p=719"},"modified":"2017-02-27T17:14:13","modified_gmt":"2017-02-27T22:14:13","slug":"bataviamother-pleads-guilty-in-the-death-of-twin-boys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/videonewsservice.net\/index.php\/2017\/02\/27\/bataviamother-pleads-guilty-in-the-death-of-twin-boys\/","title":{"rendered":"BATAVIA\/Mother pleads guilty in the deaths of twin boys"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CEMZ8PQl_TY\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Heather Ace, 25, of Stafford, pleaded guilty to one count of endangering the welfare of a child after accepting a plea deal in the Town of Batavia Court on Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Ace, who was visibly upset during the court appearance, admitted to leaving her two 2 year old twin boys locked in a bedroom for an extended period of time without supervision.<\/p>\n<p>According to Assistant District Attorney Melissa Cianfrini, the second count of endangering the welfare of a child would have run concurrent<\/p>\n<p>While Ace was away from the residence, a structure fire occurred claiming the life of Ace&#8217;s two children Micah and Michael.<\/p>\n<p>Police say the fire originated either inside of or in close proximity to their bedroom.<\/p>\n<p>The cause of the fire remains undetermined.<\/p>\n<p>The Sheriff&#8217;s Office says Ace left her children alone for about 90 minutes without providing or arranging for supervision for the children.<\/p>\n<p>According to court documents, Ace left the children locked in their bedroom to purchase weed and visit friends.<\/p>\n<p>Ace could face as little as a fine or as much as one year in jail when she is sentenced May 22, 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Heather Ace, 25, of Stafford, pleaded guilty to one count of endangering the welfare of a child after accepting a plea deal in the Town of Batavia Court on Monday morning.
