The Batavia Police Department is actively investigating the assault at 337 Ellicott St. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the Batavia Police arrested Rashawn L. GOSIER for Assault 1st and Attempted Murder. GOSIER was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victim was located and interviewed after they were treated and released from an area hospital. The victim was stabbed by a stabbing instrument. GOSIER and the victim knew each other through a mutual acquaintance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Batavia Police Department is not releasing the victim\u2019s information as this is an on-going investigation. Anyone with further information is asked to contact the Batavia Police Department, Detective Wojtaszczyk; 585-345-6357, or the confidential tip line. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
