Two women are being assisted by the Red Cross after a fire in their second floor apartment above the Perry Bowling Center at 22 Covington street in the Village of Perry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Five fire companies responded to a reported structure fire about 3:00p.m. on Monday. Crews from Perry, Perry Center, Silver Springs, Castile, Warsaw, Wyoming County Emergency Services, Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office, Perry Police, NYSEG and the Red Cross were on scene about 4.5 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Perry Bowling Center, owned by Brett and Joanne VanDuser, was open and operating with customers inside when a fire in a wall in a second story apartment spread to the large attic area above the apartments. The other apartment on the second story was vacant at the time of the fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The building was evacuated and no one was injured in the blaze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Estimated loss is $200,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
