Austin D. Medina, 26, of Batavia, NY, is charged with assault 2nd degree\/while confined in a correctional facility and assault 2nd degree\/with intent to cause injury to a Peace Officer, class D felonies, on May 1st, 2026 at the Genesee County Jail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While correctional officers were escorting Medina from his cell, he began to resist them, causing physical injury to one of the officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Medina was arraigned in Genesee County CAP Court and held at the Genesee County Jail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nicholas J. Hescke, 39, of Medina, NY, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon 4th degree, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 3rd degree and operating a vehicle with registration suspended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On April 28th, 2026, Heschke was allegedly operating a motor vehicle on Rt. 63 in the Town of Batavia while his license was revoked and while the registration to the vehicle was suspended. Heschke was also allegedly in possession of metal brass knuckles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was transported to the Genesee County Jail and was released on an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia Town Court on May 5th, 2026, at 1:00p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starla L. Winsor, 35, of Shelby, NY, is charged with grand larceny 4th degree\/retail goods-value exceeds $1,000, after allegedly stealing merchandise from Target, 4300 Veteran’s Memorial Drive in the town of Batavia, on January 17th, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Winsor was arrested on May 2nd, 2026, and released with an appearance ticket and will appear in Batavia Town Court on May 26th, 2026 at 3:00p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On April 15th, 2026, Winsor was charged with petit larceny after allegedly stealing $814.15 worth of items and walked past all points of sale at a business on Veteran’s Memorial Drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Winsor was transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing and was released on an appearance ticket and was scheduled to appear in Batavia Town Court on May 5th, 2026 at 10AM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shelly L. Smith, 52, of Holley, NY, was arrested following an investigation into a disturbance in the Town of Batavia on Pratt Road on April 30th, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Smith is charged with harassment 2nd degree and was transported to the Genesee County Jail and will appear in Batavia Town Court at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lee A. Baxter, 42, of Batavia, NY, is charged with petit larceny after allegedly stealing a bicycle from another person’s property without their permission on West Main Street on April 22nd, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Baxter was transported to the Genesee County Jail, where he was held pending arraignment in CAP Court on April 23, 2026, at 9:00a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On April 26, 2026, Baxter was arrested and charged with criminal contempt after allegedly failing to abide by an order of protection signed by Judge Rogers out of Batavia City Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Baxter was scheduled to appear in CAP Court on April 27th, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paul A. Tagliarino, 36, of Amherst, NY, is charged with criminal mischief 2nd degree and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, following an incident at a local hotel on Alleghany Road in Pembroke on May 3rd, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tagliarino was held for CAP Court and is to appear in the Town of Pembroke Court at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
